Wegelius Yrjö
Yrjö Wegelius graduated as an interior architect from the School of Art and Design in 1967. During his career, he has worked in many different architectural agencies and led his own design agency. In 1972, Wegelius was the co-founder of Sistem , which at the time was the largest interior design agency in Europe.
Wegelius specialises in interior and renovation design for public spaces, and has designed interiors for numerous headquarters, hospitals, banks, hotels, and ships. Wegelius has also worked as a product and furniture designer and lecturer at the University of Art and Design. Wegelius has always been a user-centred approach to space design, and he considers the well-being of the users of the space to be a measure of the success of his work.
