Studio Knorring
Interior Architect Peter von Knorring (1932-2020) graduated from the Department of Interior Design at the School of Art and Design in 1957. After graduation, he worked as a freelance interior designer for an architecture company until 1966, when he founded an interior design office with Lars Gestranius. Some of von Knorring’s major design works from this period include interior design of the new Forssa Town Hall in 1976-1977 and interior design and design of new office furniture for IBM ‘s headquarters in 1972-1979.
In 1979, Peter von Knorring founded his own interior design agency. The most extensive of his company’s projects include the interior design of the Forssa City Library in Finlayson’s old factory building in 1986-1987, the interior design of the extension of the Finnish Savings Bank’s head office in 1979-1981, and various interior projects for the Yhdyspankki Bank in the 1980s and 1990s.
