Esa Ojala is a versatile designer, especially known as a corporate graphic designer and poster designer. During his career, he has also worked in product, publication, and exhibition graphics.

Ojala graduated as a graphic designer from the Lahti Institute of Design in 1973 and as a Master of Arts from the University of Art and Design in 1990. In the 1970’s he worked as a graphic designer for example at Marimekko and Martela. Since 1983, Ojala has been a partner and design director in several graphic design agencies. In addition to his design work, Ojala has lectured, and he has been involved in developing the field of graphic design as chairperson of the Grafia Association, the Graphic Designers Association, and the Friends of Posters Association.

Ojala is a multi-award-winning graphic designer who has won numerous awards in professional competitions. He has held solo exhibitions of his work both in Finland and abroad and has participated in over 130 exhibitions around the world. Ojala has also worked as a judge and expert in several European countries.
